PITCO manufactures and markets 4 independent pipe inspection systems (longitudinal, transverse, wall measuring, and grade comparison), each in a stand-alone modular design for steel mills and third party pipe inspection companies. Customers enjoy the flexibility to mix and match the specific systems for their individual application. Once our customers have determined the types of inspections their application will require, we combine the various inspection systems into a single integrated unit to achieve economies of scale, while passing the savings along, producing extremely high value products for our clients.

DIGI-TECH^tm DT-2100M and DT-3100M

Utilizing state-of-the-art Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) Technology, coupled with our unprecedented custom Digital Signal Processing Software, we provide our customers with the most advanced EMI computer based NDT inspection system available anywhere in the world today for the inspection of OCTG pipe.

PITCO’s DIGI-TECH^tm “M-Series” four-function EMI (Electro-Magnetic Inspection) unit is specifically designed for high volume, continuous operation.  Originally created for Steel Mill applications, our M-Series inspection units are designed for 24/7 operation with low maintenance, and high production.

Our DT-2100^tm “M-Series” equipment features the capacity to inspect oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from 2 3/8” (60.3 mm) plain-end material through 8.00” (203.2 mm) plain-end material for longitudinal and transverse flaws, including wall thickness variations using flux leakage techniques, and grade comparator using eddy current technology.

Our DT-3100^tm “M-Series” equipment features the capacity to inspect oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from 4 1/2” (114.3mm) plain-end material through 14.00” (355.6mm).

M-Series Inspection Equipment

PITCO EMI inspection units are some of the most advanced Magnetic Flux Inspection units in the world.  Scan Systems has invested an enormous amount of capital dollars, and many man hours to improve the EMI inspection technology.  While much of our competition has simply focused on updating older technologies with absolutely no innovation, we have focused resources on pushing our own limits to actually improve the EMI technology and capabilities for our clients.  We are now at a point that we can accurately tackle the 0.545” inventory, and even up to 0.625” wall pipe, with production speeds up to 150 feet per minute.

S-Series Inspection Equipment

Still offering many of our advancements in Magnetic Flux Inspection equipment, our S-Series product line is designed with the third party OCTG inspection companies in mind.  Typically the production demands are less arduous with third party inspection companies than that of high volume steel manufactures.  As such, we have engineered our S-Series product line to be more affordable yet still maintain many of the advanced features of the M-Series equipment.  Although a bit less in price as well as a slightly different mechanical design from the M-Series products, the S-Series line maintains unmatched quality and performance in the industry.
